News Release: Survey Finds Builder's Surprisingly Optimistic
Surprisingly Optimistic / 60% of Building Pros expect 2007 to be a better year than 2006. In fact, optimists exceeded pessimists by a margin of 3 to 1, with only 19% expecting a worse year. Those are some of the key findings from a recent survey conducted at The International Builders' Show held in Orlando, FL in February 2007. The survey, conducted by KL Communications, was completed by 1,300 building professionals. Interestingly, less than half the building pros (45%) feel the building industry is very strong right now. So it appears their personal optimism is based on their own business savvy. Another finding suggests the building industry has yet to embrace the "green" concept. Reaction to this concept was flat, with about a third saying they were doing more green projects (38%), a third doing the same amount (31%) and a third doing less (31%).
